HELP: Software Froze or Crashed

Task Manager close/relaunch, or hard reboot of the PC.

If FSX Play becomes unresponsive, here’s how to recover.

Step 1 — Try Closing Normally

Press Alt + F4. If the application responds, it will close. Relaunch from the desktop.

Step 2 — Force Close via Task Manager

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
  2. Select Task Manager.
  3. Find FSX Play in the list of applications.
  4. Click End Task.
  5. Wait 10 seconds, then relaunch FSX Play from the desktop.

Step 3 — Hard Reboot

If the entire PC is frozen and nothing responds, press and hold the power button on the PC tower for 5–10 seconds until it shuts off. Wait 10 seconds, then press the power button again to restart. Relaunch FSX Play once Windows is loaded.

Note: a hard reboot won’t damage the software or your data. Course licenses and saved games are tied to your FSX Live account, not the local machine.
