FSX Play is the golf simulation software running on the PC in each bay. Here’s how to go from a sleeping computer to your first tee shot.
Step 1 — Power On the Simulator
Press the TOP button on the white light-switch plate on the keyboard. The monitor and projector should turn on automatically. If the screen stays black, check that the PC power button (usually on the front of the tower) is lit. If not, press it once to power on.
Step 2 — Launch FSX Play
Double-click the FSX Play icon on the desktop. The software will load and connect to the Foresight Falcon launch monitor automatically. This may take 30–60 seconds.
Step 3 — Choose Your Mode
From the home screen, you have three options:
- Courses — Play a full round on a virtual course.
- Practice — Hit the driving range to work on your swing.
- Games — Closest to the Pin, Long Drive, and other fun competitions.
Step 4 — Select a Course
Browse the available courses. Hover over a course and click the Play icon to start with default settings, or click the course name for more options. You can also use Quick Start to jump in with default settings at any time.
Step 5 — Add Players
The pre-round setup screen will appear. Add players by clicking the + icon. For each player, set their tee box (front, middle, or back tees), handedness (right or left), and optionally add a handicap. The Falcon auto-detects your swing side, so handedness here is mainly for record-keeping in FSX Play — but if you ever play in Bay 2 (Signature Golf Suite with PuttView), this setting is required for proper putt detection. Get in the habit of setting it correctly every time. Up to 4 players can be added per session.
Step 6 — Configure Settings and Play
On the setup screen, you can adjust wind conditions, enable mulligans, set gimme distance, and choose your scoring format (Stroke Play, Stableford, Match Play, or Scramble). When ready, hit Start. Place a ball in the hitting zone, and the “Ready” message will appear in the bottom right when the launch monitor detects your ball. Swing away.
