When you walk into your bay, you may see a SimLock screen displayed on the projector instead of the FSX Play software. This is normal — here’s what it means.
What SimLock Does
SimLock is a feature built into AlbaPlay that blocks the simulator bay until your booked start time. It prevents unauthorized use of the equipment and ensures that only paying, booked customers can access the simulator.
Think of it as a digital lock on the bay itself. When your booking window opens, SimLock automatically clears and you can start playing.
What You’ll See
The SimLock screen typically displays a message confirming that the bay is locked and shows when it will unlock based on your booking. It may also display quick-start instructions and a link to extend your session or contact support.
When Does It Unlock?
SimLock clears at your booked start time. If your booking is at 7:00 PM, the bay will unlock at 7:00 PM. If SimLock doesn’t clear at your start time, see our troubleshooting guide.
