How to Set Up a Group Round

Adding players, setting turn order, and choosing game types.

Playing with friends or family? Here’s how to set up a group round in FSX Play.

Adding Players

  1. Start a round as normal — select a course and tap Play.
  2. On the player setup screen, all current players are listed. Click the + icon to add more players.
  3. Enter a name for each player. You can also log in to an FSX Live account to track stats.
  4. Set each player’s tee box (front, middle, back), handedness, and handicap.
  5. Up to 4 players can be added per round.

About handedness: The Falcon launch monitor automatically detects which side each player swings from, so this setting isn’t required for shot tracking. However, Bay 2 (Signature Golf Suite with PuttView) uses each player’s handedness to position putts correctly — so make sure to set it for every player, even in the regular bay.

Turn Order

Players take turns in the order they were added. After all players hit, the sequence repeats for the next shot. The software will display the current player’s name and club selection on screen.

Choosing a Game Type

For groups, Scramble is a crowd favorite — everyone hits, you pick the best shot, and play from there. It keeps the pace fast and the competition fun. Match Play is great for two-player head-to-head.

Time Estimate

Add roughly 15–20 minutes per player for 18 holes. A foursome playing a full round should book at least 2–2.5 hours.
